Jesus Christ, the meatballs look like something from Scorn… And that hot dog is just… no. Just fucking no.
It’s Asian style meatballs, an entirely different beast than western ones.
But, like… are they supposed to look that unappetising?
Edit: I’m not trying to be insensitive to cultural differences (I’m Balkan, we have plenty of weird dishes), I just approach all food from this appeal factor, regardless of origin, and my only hang-up is that I cannot consume organs (brain included) - my body physically rejects any ingested organ. Yes, I peel my sausages (heh).
Yeah, that’s how they look. I guess appeal is subjective, I’m used to them looking that way so they just look good to me.
Fair point, we eat smoked slabs of pig fat (not bacon, just a layer of fat with the skin still on it) over here, guess that doesn’t sound all that appealing either when showing/talking about it…

Those are Asian style meatballs, they’re typically boiled and put into soups like pho or used in hot pot. That’s what they look like.
