Here’s the real bottom line: even if your 2026 Democratic candidate isn’t pro-trans, some candidates in other jurisdictions are. For there to be any hope of protecting trans people those other pro-trans Democrats need to be able to form a coalition with the rest of the party powerful to stand up against the Republicans.
