Are there really people transphobe enough to wish there would be some employees working as genital checkers in the public restrooms? With bottom surgery becoming more common, the only way would be a carefull inspection of all users…
I know a few cisgender people who would not like to have their genitals checked by some random people who would wonder if they are “natural”… Especially, many cis women I know would clearly prefer to use the men’s room than to be inspected in that way.
But so, isn’t it better to make universal public restrooms?
If there were any sanity left in the world, they would all be individual rooms with ceiling-to-floor walls instead of the sheet metal cubicle with inch-wide gaps everywhere.
I went to this river called the Blue Hole that had gender bathrooms. Dumb as fuck since both were identical to the other. Gendering bathrooms was a mistake. Of course in America we had segregated bathrooms so it always been backwards here.

Is every state prosecutor the worst of a sinner then?
In some jurisdictions, they’re actually way up there.
Due to the political demagoguery inherent to the system, prosecutors are typically judged by how many convictions they get, regardless of how many of the accused were actually guilty.
That gives them a BIG incentive to a) ignore the possibility that anyone they feel they might be able to convict might be innocent and b) specifically target poor people, people of color, other marginalized groups, and ESPECIALLY combinations of those, as they’re the least likely to be able to mount an effective legal defense.
The state prosecutors that are amongst the worst of the worst people in the country are the ones who are aware of the above and not just don’t fight against it, but actively and deliberately fight to PRESERVE that inherently unjust and discriminatory status quo.
Should we get rid of state prosecutors?
I don’t know about removing the position, but it’s DEFINITELY overdue for some extensive reforms to ensure that they’re not in the business of victimizing some of the most vulnerable people in society for job security.

If you have to go in a door that locks and has a single toilet in it, transphobes can’t harass someone because they don’t “look right” for the current multi-person bathroom

Think they are referring to restrooms with multiple stalls & sinks in one room compared to individual unisex rooms with an individual toilet & sink.
Which would end the argument only if the argument was being made in good faith. But the issue is that the reason they want to ban Trans from using their desired bathroom isn’t for the safety of cis women but to reduce the safety of Trans individuals and make them feel not wanted in public spaces, literally trying to legislate them from existence one space at a time.
Hell, in several spaces here that had unisex individual restrooms have now gone back and made them gendered for some stupid reason, I assume so people can still harass Trans people.
If the restroom is an individual room, I just use whichever one is free at the time, despite the sign. Does anyone actually care about the gender of a single person restroom??
