The retailer’s US operating company filed for bankruptcy Sunday — for the second time in six years — in a court in Delaware, citing fierce competition from foreign fast fashion retailers. It marks the end of an era for a clothing brand that introduced many teens to fast fashion.
that introduced many teens to fast fashion.
Sounds to me like the company is getting what they deserve.
Forever Chapter 11…
Good one ☝️
Alright! Just in time for me to open up Forever 42. We’ll specialize in cargo shorts and socks with sandals. Also some skater shoes, JNCOs, and NIN/Deftones shirts for the aging 90s kids.
Edit: actually, I think I just described Hot Topic…
I wish I had my JNCO jeans still.
You have my interest.
Forever 42 should just sell towels, beer and peanuts.
Im already in line for the opening
Sad to see that they failed because people want even shittier business practices and cheaper worse products.
I never liked fast fashion, and I hate that it’s even more disposable now.
Finally, news that’s impactful for Lemmy’s userbase.
citing fierce competition from foreign fast fashion retailers
Like anything they sold was domestically produced in the first place
Good, it’s shit quality clothing and everything is 2 sizes too small. A Forever 21 large is like a small-medium anywhere else.
They and the myriad other junk clothing companies that are somehow paying mall rent can all go.
21 has been overestimated.
Wish there was just a store that covered all the fads all the time. We all know they are going to keep cycling around, why not let some of us pick a spot on the wheel to stay in forever. Instead of having to wait for it to come back in style and stock back up then.
First the never ending story ended and now this??
At least we know final fantasy is over
Finally
Maybe they should have grown up and stopped drinking
Inb4 they are “saved” by the inevitable “sales”
This is a marketing strategy.
