Maybe the Democrats should prove the complainers wrong. The Democratic leadership has had plenty of opportunity to build trust amongst the voters, and decided to ignore them instead. They’ve spent years letting their voters down, which is why they aren’t trusted.

“Why should we prove the complainers and voters wrong? We should stick to the guns that made people sick of us in 2016, 2020, and 2024! Nothing will fundamentally change, and that’s final!”

And they wonder why people are sick of neoliberalism and willing to listen to a lying fascist saying he’d change something, just not for the better of anyone but the 1%.

      I agree.

And then what? Get 4 more years of a genocidal Cop in the white house further normalizing “tough on the border” policies and genocidal foreign policy. And then follow it up with another Republican with even more of a “mandate” to murder immigrants and bomb brown kids? America has been a dictatorship of the capitalist class since it’s founding. Voting for president is like voting for a temporary court jester. It doesn’t change who runs this country. It only changes which interest of the ruling class are served.

Edit: Did he delete his comment? I can’t see it. But dude went full lib-fascist. Told me he hopes the brown shirts come for me.

Liberals trying to not side with brown shirts challenge impossible. God, it’s amazing how history repeats itself. It’s ok. They’ll round up all us “Larpers” first. I mean it’s the first line of the poem.

I guess I was LARPing when I went to protest that blocked shipments of weapons in the Seattle docks. Bombs that kill 45% children. I guess I was LARPing when I joined protest for Palestine in Vancouver. I guess I’m LARPing when I organize with the PSL to protest against ICE raids.

I’m sure you’ll say “none of that matters” because resisting fascist with actual material actions is LARPing. But voting, voting in a system that is controlled by the interest of the capitalist class. THAT’S what makes a difference. /s

Maybe come join the live action role players. At least we go outside more than once every 4 years. At least we prepare our neighborhoods with ways to resist ICE. It sounds like you just wanted to fall asleep for 4 more years while actual activist in this country continue to resist fascism and Imperialism whether it’s a blue or red guy in the Whitehouse. Maybe come join the “LARPers” and make actual material impact.

Or you could just cry on reddit that “Leftist” aren’t doing enough. When the only political action you seem to have ever done is cast a vote.

I mean your comment admitted it. You want to hide your head in the sand. Go ahead. Go hide your head in the sand. I’m sure there’s a new Anime you can go watch.

Not just voting, but yes engagement with the electoral system in various ways. As well as volunteer work and organizing.

But I can say I’m done with that now.

I noticed my post got nuked. Interesting.

Edit: Also “siding” with the brown shirts? I merely aim to survive them. If not, oh well at least I’m done dealing with the bullshit of being alive I guess.

              A mod deleted it.

I was being a smart ass because I assumed you and your type are trying to drag me into a violent conflict and I wont engage with that, not after this election result.

Besides realistically they’ll come for both of us and then we’ll be dead and not have to worry about this shit anymore. Its laughable that we’d be able to put up a fight: we would be turned into red mist.

It’s so odd to be upset at people not voting and then deciding that you would rather just roll over and die than resist anything. Yeah dude, that’s how history works, people that are oppressed fight against unbeatable odds. But mocking people that want to fight against genocide is siding with the genocide. “If we can’t win I won’t even bother” is the exact reason that we can’t win. So many dumb Americans like yourself are ok with being completely pacified by neoliberalism, give zero shits about what happens to others, and then get upset at the people actually going outside and helping people.

Get your bull shit nihilism out of here. Don’t shame people that didn’t vote and then turn around and say you’re just ready to roll over and accept fascism. Go enjoy the toys that pacify you then. Why spend time caring if people voted or not? Go watch Netflix and ignore politics.

The time to act was on or before November 5th. And I did and I deeply resent the people who did not. I’ll admit that its not a rational reaction, its just pure emotional rage.

Yeah dude, that’s how history works, people that are oppressed fight against unbeatable odds.

“If we can’t win I won’t even bother” is the exact reason that we can’t win.

We don’t live in the fucking 1800’s. Historical conflict has no parallel to what would happen in a civil war 2 in the US with today’s military technology. It also was not necessary to make things harder in the first place as to make rebellion one of our few real options, unless you are delusional and wanted to drag people into it thinking “some of you may die, but that’s a sacrifice I’m willing to make”.

But mocking people that want to fight against genocide is siding with the genocide.

No its not. People can have a good cause but be completely ass backwards and stupid about how they go about fighting it. If I mock stupid people, I’m mocking them for being stupid, not their cause.

So many dumb Americans like yourself are ok with being completely pacified by neoliberalism, give zero shits about what happens to others, and then get upset at the people actually going outside and helping people.

I am not “pacified” by neoliberalism. I want to be pacified. I want to become politically retarded but I’m annoyingly addicted to politics. I want to refuse to help people who made things worse for me. Ultimately I’ll probably end up roped into helping anyway and build more resentment.

Get your bull shit nihilism out of here. Don’t shame people that didn’t vote and then turn around and say you’re just ready to roll over and accept fascism. Go enjoy the toys that pacify you then. Why spend time caring if people voted or not? Go watch Netflix and ignore politics.

I will shame people for whatever I think is shameful. If you think nihilism is bullshit, you are delusional like most people. Go enjoy your pseudo-religious meta-narrative ideology.

I do not owe society or you anything, I did not choose to be born. I do not owe shit, I’ve not bred any other unfortunate souls into existence and I could off myself and be in the right to do so even if I was somehow important. I’m not saying I am, I’m not important. I’m just angry and bitter. I’ll just admit that and am lashing out for catharsis.

I’m not accepting fascism, you have. You just don’t know it yet.

You think you’re smart and depressed. But you’re just depressed mate. This comment is the ramblings of someone that has completely disconnected from reality. Get some help.

I’m not gonna argue against your depression.

HalfSalsman would be happy with Neville Chamberlain in office and claim since he gave the seat to Hitler, we can’t do anything to stop him and should obey quietly.

Yep. It’s the position of liberals throughout history. It’s even worse now though since their are so many more “toys” to keep them pacified. Like as long as they can watch YouTube and eat Taco Bell they’d be ok with their neighbors getting shipped to GITMO.
