      I guess they think that competition produces the most efficient outcome, like they do with private enterprise.

    So there has to be a new department - headed by TWO different people that’s going to be dealing with efficiency in the government?

    Why does the media just gobble this up? It takes an act of Congress to make a new department. DOGE is bullshit.

      There was a time when I’d agree with you. But right now I don’t see any difference between pissing away 10% of your money on “inefficiency” and giving it to a capitalist and labeling it profit, instead.

        The main difference is that you have a small say in the “inefficiency”, whereas the capitalist acts without you having any say.
