Remember when Trump demanded MAGA supporters protest out of the courthouse and barely a half a dozen showed up?

His physical support is waning. But there’s still assholes who vote Republican so don’t slip up with his numbers.

As someone from the south who lives in one of the cities where he held a klan rally—oops, campaign stop, I can assure you that there are several places where his fan club is very much alive and kicking.

You don’t have to be in the south to notice that. New Hampshire, Vermont, plenty of northern states are infested

It’s sort of interesting to realize that even though it’s still only May, I haven’t seen much of any campaign signs out. That may change, but I vaguely recall a plethora of yard signs, even in May 2020.

Heck, even the one sign I did see put up - One for RFK that went up in February - was taken down about a month ago.
I sort of feel that everyone is a bit wishy-washy this cycle.

I do live in a small city, so that probably factors. When you get out of population centers, you do pretty readily see Trump bumper stickers, other random political messaging on vehicles, and I’m sure if I went into rural towns, I’d see more yard signs.

On a highway outside of town, there was a farm that had a quarter billboard-sized Trump 2016 sign facing the highway from 2016-2020. It was changed to a 2020 one, but after the election, someone spray painted “Pussies” on both sides of it in neon pink marking paint.
It stayed that way for a few months, but now it’s a for sale sign.

I looked at that picture that they had up for that “100,000” headcount. All I know is that there’s a lot of people on Trump’s team and in Wildwood, NJ who are extremely bad at estimating headcount. That picture of the crowd at it’s largest is (being absolutely generous here) is roughly 20,000 tops. 100,000 people is a massive amount of people, like it is a lot of people. There are zero ways there’s 100,000 in that picture. When you hit 100,000 people, you know it, because it’s an ungodly amount of people.

I think his fans equate rallies to a fair or rodeo. Trust they’re still voting if they previously did and it isn’t for anyone but orange daddy. Just because the spectacle wanes does not mean they are voting any other way.

GOPers taking the time & effort to vote for Nikki Haley 2 months after she drops out are either voting for Biden or not voting at all.

Or they’re casting a completely meaningless protest vote at an event that doesn’t matter before ultimately doing the same thing they’ve always done when it matters. I hope more of them lean the way you said tho.

There’s no way he had 100,000 people at that rally. I mean, the Super Bowl had around 61,000 fans in attendance and the crowd in the picture looks smaller than that.

Look, I counted and when the number started getting pretty high I just guesstimated. Give me a break. So I was off by an order of ten. Like you never make mistakes!

A Trump insider said Trump used to be VERY jealous of Bolsonaro’s crowds.

Trump had heard they had Brazillions out there to support him on election day.

This is the best summary I could come up with:

Former President Donald Trump is known to boast about the size of the crowds at his events, and his rally in the New Jersey on Saturday was no different.

Trump, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, spoke before a crowd of tens of thousands of people who gathered on the beach in the town of Wildwood, repeatedly blaming President Joe Biden for the criminal charges he is facing as he seeks to reclaim the White House in November, according to The Associated Press and The New York Times.

Lisa Fagan, spokesperson for the city of Wildwood, told the AP that she estimated that between 80,000 and 100,000 attended the rally, based off her own observations on the scene.

Aliya Schneider, a reporter with The Philadelphia Inquirer, posted videos showing some attendees leaving the rally while Trump was still speaking.

Alongside another video, Schneider added: “The back section of the crowd is noticeably smaller as people continue to leave while Trump is still speaking.”

USA Today reporter Zac Anderson posted a video showing much of the crowd had gone while Trump was still delivering his remarks.

The original article contains 521 words, the summary contains 184 words. Saved 65%. I’m a bot and I’m open source!

Ronald McDonald and his brilliant cult members think that the number of people that show up to a rally matter. How many times did we hear about Biden and his “basement”?

Those yokels really thought that enthusiasm at rallies means they should win the election.
