The fact that it can’t even fit a bicycle in the back was an eye-opener.
I can fit 2 bicycles in the back of my 2001 Ford Focus (3 if I have an allen key on hand).
And they stay dry when it rains.

Yep, your average hatchback is infinitely more practical than this thing, but for whatever reason Tesla (and most other EV makers) decided not to make one. There’s basically just the electric Golf and the Hyundai ionic 5 as options if you want that.

      While that seems constrictung ….

      • Rivian has a foot shorter bed
      • F-150 has a range of beds, with the middle choice the same length as Cybertruck

It seems like a common shortcoming to many trucks, not a shortcoming of cybertruck.

Jesus. If I can’t fit a couch in the bed of my truck, then it’s fucking useless. An SUV is better at this point.

You can fit a couch in most trucks with the tailgate down and some straps, something that’s much harder to do in a car.

How often do you assholes move couches? Why do we have to buy these behemoth vehicles for rare maximal use cases?

You keep a couch in the back so that you can lounge at the petrol station while it fills up. That’s basic trucking.

Wtf, I was just responding to someone who was talking about being able to put a couch in a truck, I don’t own a truck, I drive a 15 year old hatch back.

Because “merica”, fucking idiots will do anything to prove their testosterone levels are manly. Same reason the grilles on new trucks are 5 foot tall.

Yup. Honda Element owner - I’ve hauled dirt bikes, desks, lumber and mulch. Fits into a compact space. Shitwagons like this are ridiculous.

I wonder when someone’s going to go Nader and sue these (cybertrucks but also the entire spectrum of jacked up never-been-in-dirt macho-mobiles) - unsafe at any speed, ridiculously wasteful in fuel efficiency etc.

I’ve been harassing my local honda dealership regularly for a new element. At first, they thought I was joking but it’s been literal years now, I stop in, find some new salesduder/dudette, tell them how my old honda is getting long in the tooth, I’ve got solid credit and have purchased 3 hondas in the past. they could make sale TODAY, do they by an chance have a new element coming?

hope, hope, eager hope, excited hope, then WHAM… crestfallen.

For some reason, I’m far more into the Element than Honda ever was it appears.

its not just you. Honda Elements are actually going UP in value. 99% of cars aren’t. People love them to pieces.

I wish I had the funds to do an EV conversion of my 2005. Replace the engine with a modest tesla front end, replace the fuel system with a modest battery -150 mile range (giving me 50 miles of shit hauling lol)… great form factor.
