Trump struggles to say ‘climate’ and reveals he recently took a cognitive test - eviltoast

At a New Hampshire campaign rally, Donald Trump claimed to have “aced” a recent cognitive test and struggled to pronounce the word “climate,” footage from the event shows.

“I don’t know if you saw, but a few months ago, I took a cognitive test my doctor gave me,” Mr Trump told supporters at the Saturday event.

His comments came just after former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley questioned whether the former president was mentally capable of taking office again after he appeared to repeatedly confuse her with former US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in a campaign speech on Friday.

Dr Jonathan Reiner, a medical analyst for CNN and professor of medicine and surgery at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, called into question why Mr Trump would need multiple cognitive tests, considering he also took a cognitive test while serving as president.

I’m going to say the same thing I always say about Trump: we don’t need anyone to prove anything when we can see the things right in front of our eyes. I watched him crime. I watched him collude. I watched him lie. I heard him admit sexual assault with his own lips. The facts are in front of our eyes. They don’t require proof, they are the factual evidence by which to prove other things. Fuck’s sake the world is so upside down these days.

Who brags about taking a cognitive test? Does he think that’s like an IQ test that proves how smart he is? People are given cognitive tests when there’s reason to suspect problems with a person’s mental functioning.

Yeah, it would be great if he went from a case study for sociologists to a case study for psychologists.

In plain English, the whole world is dealing with his mental issues, and I think I speak for everyone that we have enough problems even without this dude.

But that’s the thing that he doesn’t understand- it’s not a test you can pass or fail any more than reading an eye chart is a test you can pass or fail. It’s a diagnostic. He thinks “passing” it means he won the brain race or something.

The test was fitting the shaped blocks in the corresponding shaped holes, but all shapes fit in the square hole. Aced.

I get it! This is why infrastructure week is always two weeks away! He has a plan, but he can’t get to release day. It’s like a shitty groundhog Day.

His idiocy and metal decline have been on full display for almost a decade now. And yet this person has a real shot at winning the presidency again. That is one fucked up political system they have there in the US of A.

Living here and having to watch it happen in real time is terrifying. It was an easy way to know which of my friends and family are not okay.

I remember hearing him say “oranges” instead of “origins”, realising he said the wrong thing and then repeating “oranges” again.

This is the best summary I could come up with:

In their post on cognitive testing, the Cleveland Clinic also states, “a good score doesn’t necessarily mean there’s no brain impairment.”

Slip-ups like these could continue to undercut the 77-year-old former President’s argument that Mr Biden — just four years his senior — is cognitively unfit for office.
