Either, but slathered in NC mustard-vinegar sauce.
Jokes aside, let us not forget that many of these people voted blue through gritted teeth in direct opposition to Trump. Those people will not appreciate being called a liberal for their votes. They will 100% go back red on the next election if and when Trump and his cronies are not on the ballot, unless the Dems can take advantage of this situation and show some actual fucking leadership and demonstrate why their choose was a good one. This is not a time for complacency. We won a lap, not the whole race.
Don’t hold your breath. Corporate-Dems think they won and this is a clear sign that poor people want neoliberalism and elitist “progressiveisms”.
Those people will not appreciate being called a liberal
What do these people have against liberty? Don’t they like freedom?
Texas for brisket, sausage. KC for ribs. NC for pork.
Ah this is the correct answer
On a business trip I once had a group of burly Texas oilmen all agree that the brisket at the “DC area chain restaurant” was the best they’d had.
Which was … pretty fucking funny tbh.
For the next decade they all tried to find a better joint in Houston.
I don’t even like brisket that much.
I’ll take Texas or Kansas, but that NC BBQ with that salad dressing for sauce is some weak-ass shit. Come up with some good sauce, or find another game.
It’s pretty much vinegar with some spices. Years ago when I moved to NC, ordered BBQ pulled pork at a little hole in the wall place. Not what I expected. The pork itself was delicious but they poured that vinegar over the plate and essentially ruined it. I still get BBQ here, but order a side of rib sauce. That vinegar stuff is garbage.
Texas and Kansas think BBQ sauce should be basically ketchup, but with even more sugar. North Carolina has great sauce with vinegar and spice. South Carolina’s is also great with the mustard-based sauce.
It’s Kansas, but only one place in Kansas. The rest suck ass.
Anthony Bourdain agrees: https://www.foodrepublic.com/1582674/anthony-bourdain-favorite-barbecue-kansas-city/
Kansas side or Missouri side?
Original location is on the Missouri side, but just barely. They have many locations on the Kansas side now though. I suppose it’s more a Kansas City, both states, thing
Nothing beats a good Texas brisket.
Kansas city is just sauce. It should be called casserole, not bbq.
NC sauce makes their bbq inedible, so I I am not sure how good their meat is.
I am upset at your description of Kansas City style but cannot disagree.
Central Texas oak-smoked brisket is the best BBQ that exists
If you need sauce to cover the meat, you did it wrong.
I know I’m biased, but Texas all day every day.
That said, I do love me some vinegar sauce
Whichever one has the best burnt ends.
Texas.
Eastern NC style
I didn’t like it when I first moved there, but it grew on me. Now, I love it.
I like how Texas still gets no love. Bless your heart.
They’d win in a taco contest
Not if New Mexico is competing
Texas 100%
Nobody else had any business doing brisket
Even though humans have been doing bbq and eating cows long before Texas existed or cows arrived in North America?
What about SC mustard base?
Carolina Q but KC sauce
This is the answer.
