Ah, the smell of eggs. That’s really bringing me back. I used to cook the new batch of mouse balls for the macs at school each week.
“Back in my day” we would swap out someone’s mouse ball with a hard-boiled egg yolk as a prank. Good times.
Even worse, yolk sizes are unpredictable, and it’s not like you can open an uncooked egg to check. You had to boil at least a dozen and hope one of them fit.
My friend managed to find a compatible eraser at some stationery store while travelling, but he couldn’t tell me exactly which one he went to. This was before we could just order everything online, The best part was that you could use up the eraser a little bit to get a snug fit, you can’t do that with the yolks.
I don’t know why more stores didn’t carry those erasers
