I agree with you. Right now, the PSOE needs to be as left-winged as it can or Spain will take a hard turn to the far right in the next elections.
The most likely outcome of this war for the Spanish people is going to be an increase in the cost of living due to higher oil prices, possibly whilst they see military personnel from the nations that went along with the US and Israel end up dead, same as it happenned with those who followed the US into Iraq (which, remember, unlike Afghanistan had nothing to do with 9/11 which is why it wasn’t NATO going there only individual nations that decided to follow the US).
Meanwhile, if the US and Israel get the best possible outcome in this war - quick regime change in Iran into a new stable regime (which, by the way, took years in Iraq and it’s only stableish) and unblocking of the Straight Of Hormuz - is one which delivers exactly zero gains to Spaniards (or, in fact, for most people in the World).
So for anybody but Israelis this war will either at one end of the outcomes scale deliver significant Economic pain at a time of general empoverishment or at the other end of it no gains whatsoever.
It’s actually a pretty good bet for Sanchez to align himself against this war: if the war keeps going for at least some months he will look as somebody who was all along defending Spaniards, as they indirectly suffer from that war, whilst if the war ends quickly with the best possible outcome for Israel and the US nobody can accuse Sanchez of having done something bad for Spaniards since it delivers not gains for them - at most he can be accused of weakening Spains relationship with the US, an accusation which doesn’t have anywhere near the impact it used to have before Trump’s second term and especially since his threats to invade Greenland.
Actually, the same calculus applies to most other European leaders and nations except perhaps Britain (who are seriously invested in being American’s poodle in Europe) and Germany (because of the whole wierd interplay between extreme Racism, racial guilt and a cold view towards the suffering of human being of other races over there keeps them supporting Israel no matter how depraved their actions).

I know very little of Spain’s politics but they seem to be hitting it out of the park since I started paying attention. They have made a really impressive move to renewables and they seem to be taking the strongest stand against US and Israeli aggression that I have seen from Europe (Ireland and Italy as well).
Kinda funny all the lauding of coallition building and the skills it took with the bushes just to find out the us can go attack anyone and apparently europe will pile in no quetions asked.
