Everyone is focusing on the pizza, but how on earth is that a medium drink?
It’s s medium FOUNTAIN. That I can see
Right? It’s almost the size of a car!
It needs ro be at least… three times smaller!
And what sort of monster drinks pop in the morning?
Earliest I can bring myself to drink pop is like, 11:30 maybe
It’s more of an afternoon type drink, no?
I drink energy drinks (basically soda) instead of coffee because coffee gives me super severe stomach cramps, and I still want caffeine in the morning.
Drink green tea, it has more caffeine than coffee.
Energy drinks are not basically soda, they contain, well, a ton of taurine and, well, caffeine, and are even more terrible (in fact, order of magnitude so) for your health, especially cardiovascular system.
That’s incorrect. Coffee has more caffeine than green tea.
Green tea: 30–50 mg
Instant coffee: 27–173 mg
Plain, brewed coffee: 102–200 mg
Espresso: 240–720 mg
Black tea: 25–110 mg
Yerba mate: 65–130 mg
Soft drinks: 23–37 mg
Energy drinks: 72–80 mg

Info appears to be varying wildly, but I acknowledge your point, thanks.
Still, tea can be used as an alternative source of caffeine, and it would certainly be better for your health than going all energy drinks.
yerba mate is actually a decent replacement for coffee with the slight problem of it being more bitter than pure caffeine
I don’t drink coffee so soda is how my body gets it’s daily intake of caffeine.
Being raised Mormon like this gave me bad teeth.
Morning coffee gives me brown teeth. I can’t do all that sugar at the start if the day with pops though.
In some parts of the US is fairly common.
Dr. Pepper instead of coffee in the morning is a thing in Texas.
Like, not everyone does it, but no one bats an eye at it either.
What the fuck.
I like to buy child size.
Everything wrong with this:
- “Breakfast Pizza”
- Pepsi for breakfast
- “Medium” 64 oz drink
- $4 for not a lot of value
Nothing like spiking your blood glucose first thing in the morning.
What did breakfast pizza do to you! It’s delicious!
It’s also a monstrosity which should only be enjoyed as leftovers from dinner pizza.
The pizza-thing is fine, but gaving pepsi for breakfast is pretty vile.
How about Fanta, it’s oranges right?.. I have no idea if this sort of place would serve Fanta.
If you’re gonna have orange and bubbles for breakfast it better be a mimosa than a fanta.
I think Fanta in the US is just soda, no orange juice. Different from Europe.
In the US fanta is just fake orange flavor and corn syrup though.
Orangina for me, please.
I know after ze club you would prefer something küül like a coffee und cigarette
Maybe invite your cigarette outside for espresso und watch the street life
The only pizza for breakfast I would accept is a cold leftover one after a night of heavy drinking.
There is a thing called breakfast pizza that uses sausage gravy as the sauce. Pizza is topped with chopped bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, and cheese. It’s incredible. Bonus points if there is frank’s red hot nearby.
That sounds like a recipe for cardiac arrest.
Literally regular breakfast, but arranged in a pizza shape.
Sure, if your regular breakfast is cardiac arrest.
Try biscuits with sausage gravy and tell me it’s not worth a slightly shorter lifespan.
Breakfast pizza is hella good. Or at least, the kind I make myself is.
I use Pilsbury crescent rolls dough for the crust, country gravy for the sauce, cheese, scrambled eggs, breakfast sausage and bacon. 🤤
Sounds like quiche, but the vegetables are replaced with gravy. I might have to try that once the snow starts falling!
I saved this recipe. I love the idea of croissant crust and so many breakfast pizzas forget the gravy!
For best results, do not bake the eggs with the rest of the pie, just cook them separately and put them on after, so you don’t end up with overcooked, rubbery eggs.
I’m disgusted but also intrigued by breakfast pizza…
Breakfast pizza is pretty great, cheesy base sauce, scrambled eggs, bacon and breakfast sausage bits. Good stuff.
The base sauce scares me a bit
Me too, but I’d be 100% down to replace the base with hot sauce (maybe I can use Tabasco to make a buffalo sauce, that sounds heavenly). I’m like 80% down to try a maple base (or drizzle) as well.
You could try replacing the base with a thick sausage gravy
OOOO yeee I like the way you think.
Casey’s breakfast pizza uses sausage gravy as the base.
Hello fellow midwesterner!
Good morning! It’s a horrible day as usual here in Terre Haute, Indiana. But Casey’s still serves a fine breakfast pizza.
Casey’s does not unless you custom order it. It’s a cheese sauce. Quik trip does the sausage gravy though
I’ve never had one with a sauce. Breakfast pizza is super popular here. It’s just scrambled eggs mixed with cheddar cheese with your choice of toppings. It’s one of the few things I could eat for breakfast every day and not get sick of it.
It’s the worst parts of both breakfast and pizza
Whoa whoa whoa. That’s a strong statement to make as a generalization.
Yeah, it’s the 3 left over slices of pepperoni from night
warmed up pizza leftovers has been a breakfast staple for ages
Cold pizza is superior for breakfast if the quality is there already.
I’m weird, I know

$4 for a slice of pizza and a Pepsi? lol gtfoh
The hardest part to wrap your European head around would be four servings of sugary soda for breakfast, but how many people do you know that drink cups and cups of builders tea that is more sugar and milk than tea?
Neither side is right, humans can just be gross dopamine chasers in different ways. Compare the ‘pizza’ to a sausage roll, or whatever buttery monstrosity the French enjoy.
The hardest part to wrap your European head around would be four servings of sugary soda for breakfast
Don’t worry, it’s 90% ice
Butter is better than whatever industrial oil is used in that “pizza”
Best response I ever read about this situation was:
Americans eat as if they have access to public health.
Americans eat fountains!?
No, they’re serving a fountain of cola. Fountain is a standard unit of measure here.
Casey’s pizza is actually really good. Their breakfast pizza is awesome, but I when I actually get it I’ll order a whole large and share it with the fam for dinner. Bacon or sausage would be the two options in the warmer. They are out of Ankeny IA I believe, but are in small towns all over the Midwest.
The United States of Diabetes.
I was shocked at my first business breakfest with a American customer a number of years ago. At 7am while I drank coffee, he was guzzling down Coke. It was the first of the 4 he had each day. He usually cut himself off after lunch he said.
