A spray-painted bronze statue titled “Best Friends Forever” that depicts President Trump and disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein holding hands was placed on the National Mall in front of the U.S. Capitol early Tuesday morning. The work is the latest in a series of politically charged sculptures critical of the president that have been placed in Washington and elsewhere by an anonymous group.
A plaque at the base of the installation reads, “We celebrate the long-lasting bond between President Donald J. Trump and his ‘closest friend,’ Jeffrey Epstein.”
The relationship between the president and Epstein, a convicted sex offender who died in jail in 2019, has come into sharper focus this year as both supporters and critics of the administration have called for the full release of files related to Epstein.
The president’s friendship with Epstein began in the 1980s when they were neighbors in Florida. The men often appeared in public together and Trump, like many other prominent people, flew on Epstein’s jet on multiple occasions.
Whoever did this, you are a genius and I will send some care packages to the prison you end up in for the rest of your life.
Its the same group that made a statue of a turd on Nancy Pelosi’s desk.
They even got a permit for this that was supposed to allow it to remain until the 28th, but laws and free speech don’t count when you hurt the president’s fee fees by acknowledging reality.
