If a person is operating a tank then they’re a legitimate military target. It isn’t a war crime to capture or kill a military target. Do you claim that Israel is committing war crimes and kidnapping when they capture enemy combatants? Of course not.
You may have a preferred side, but calling ‘war crime’ on something doesn’t make it true. If you step into a tank and strap a rifle on your body then you are operating under an entirely different set of rules and are subject to be killed or captured by the opposing forces.
