You should let them clarify their position if they felt that I mischaracterized it. Trying to communicate on social media is time consuming enough, don’t add to the headache by trying to make other people’s points for them.
It is possible that they meant something else, sure. But, unless that is your alt account you cannot possibly know. Just because you can imagine other possible readings of their statement that don’t involve incarceration doesn’t mean that I interpreted their statement incorrectly.
In language we often use what is called context to understand the meaning of sentences.
The second person is disagreeing with the proposition “if we’d just legalize drugs” and so their comment of “I think some drugs should not be tolerated.” is, in context, taken to mean that some drugs should remain illegal.
When things are illegal, often the criminal penalties involve incarceration.
I hope this was clear enough for your still developing eyeballs.
I was talking about the device, not the OS.
Apple is the largest smartphone manufacturer and so it stands to reason that Google has heard of them and hires talented people to work on the software for their devices. So statements like:
have you considered they the might just be completely fucking incompetent at IOS apps
Is just nonsense completely divorced from reality.
Overall, I think some drugs should not be tolerated. I also understand that they will exist regardless. Idk.
You can not tolerate drugs without choosing to lock everyone involved in a box for decades. No medical or psychological studies have shown that prison is a safe or effective treatment for addiction.
There are better ways than simply incarcerating millions of people.
No, they have infinite money and are a prestige job for developers. The chances that they were unable to hire talented programmers on the singular most popular smartphone is essentially zero.

I don’t recall the name, but it was a Windows-only tool.
This app sounds like it’s just the recreation of that same tool in Linux. I haven’t tried it yet (I could see some added complexity when using Proton), but I would expect that you could do the same thing with this.
e: nucleus co-op was the name
I’ve used a similar tool to this to play Risk of Rain 2 as a local co-op. Both clients had their own displays, sound and controls (TV+controller and PC) and it worked flawlessly. We were both getting >100FPS @4k and 1080p using a 5700x3D and a 3080.
It’s a nice way to play older multiplayer games that don’t support split-screen.

If that doesn’t work there are a few other suggestions in the thread.
Cynical me thinks the reporter knows the difference but chose to write the headline as clickbait because modern media.
The title makes it sound like the judge is defying the Supreme Court, that isn’t the case at all.
the US supreme court said federal judges could only issue nationwide injunctions if they certified plaintiffs as a nationwide class.
A federal judge in New Hampshire blocked Donald Trump’s executive order ending birthright citizenship, certifying the case as a nationwide class action.
I just mean that trying to apply the Nazi bar meme to an entire country because people are not immediately surrendering and fleeing the fascists seems kind of counter productive.
People are assholes to people who disagree with them, no matter the topic.
You can find examples of people on each ‘side’ being assholes. Social media teaches people to be outraged, not to have any empathy.
Google is paying a pittance to achieve vendor lock-in.
The training may be free but there will be other services which will not be free and the other services will integrate better with the existing ‘free’ Google services better than anything else.
Who’s trying to flee? It’s the fascists that have to go
Trump is spending more on ICE than other countries spend on their entire military
It’s not allowed.
There’s only one opinion on AI allowed on social media: It’s the worst thing to ever happen and produced by stealing from starving child artists. The ouput is somehow simultaneously the worst quality imaginable with no redeeming qualities and also about to put every creative out of a job by next quarter.
The fact that you don’t hold this opinion tells everyone what a horrible person that you are for not knowing the right opinion to have.
Enjoy being downvoted out of the conversation between tech illiterate children who believe everything they’re told and tech illiterate creatives who haven’t found a hyperbole that they cannot employ in their Luddite quest to stop advanced linear algebra
I’m pretty sure I look exactly the same at work
