Journalist Michael Wolff leaked audio on the above podcast of Epatein saying how well he knew Trump, even during Trump’s presidency. There’s no evidence to support that Epstein was owned by Russia, but that Trump was so indiscriminate with him shows that he was probably indiscriminate in Russia and/or with Russian agents as well.
Imo it’s possible Epstein tried to leverage a pardon from Trump for not spilling the beans and he got House of Cards’d
