Could we find some way to cut down on posts like “Double parked driver in Talula, Illinois” and it’s just a pic/video of some dumb car?
While I share the sentiment, I don’t know think we all have to be notified EVERY time a driver ANYWHERE does something rude/inconsiderate.
The posts that are most helpful in this community are the ones addressing policy, and notifying us when governments or corporations are doing something that unfairly prioritizes cars. There are too many cars to count, but we can target governments much more easily.
I’m really curious, because people throw “doxxing” around a lot. And this example doesn’t even include any identifiable info, just the make/model/year/color of a car.
So… What is your definition of doxxing?
Speeding isn’t a constitutional right like protest. And public streets aren’t private homes. Should people expect to break laws and endanger their neighbors, in public, and we’re all supposed to… pretend we don’t see them? What’s your definition here?

Who is this comment for
ALSO: City Island??? Bro is trying to take his Malibu water skiing
I know this isn’t the point but WTF is a Honda Passport

Thankfully this appears to be wrong.

I like Kdenlive a lot but man, why is the Export feature-- y’know, the thing that let’s you EXPORT A MOVIE-- buried in some drop-down menu like it’s a minor afterthought??

Ok, that makes sense. I haven’t read a ton of technical critiques of ActivityPub. Any recommendations?

…? Interesting thing to share on Lemmy…

INCREDIBLE!!!

I’m hearing mixed things. Do you have a Kindle? It might not show up unless you’ve set one up. Maybe that’s it?

lol this is a GREAT idea!

Make sure you’re buying the ebook, not the paperback! Folks are saying the ebook is free

Kinda think “The #2 Amazon result is an erotic novel where she’s a bat monster” is probably not a good look

Bitwarden FTW

That’s a fair point, and in a comment above I asked if there’s any way to make this trend without purchasing it. Like, maybe there’s a way to do it by search volume, or adding it to our carts? I genuinely don’t know enough about the Amazon platform to know, but maybe someone here does!

Key questions:
Is there any way to get the book trending without buying it? It’s only $1, so if we all have to buy it that’s not so bad, but would love to find another way if possible.
If we want it to trend on the 30th, do we take action that day? Or do we need to start earlier? Like the day before?
Anyone here know how Amazon works?
Incorrect. There is plenty of evidence, and the group behind this (Transportation Alternatives) is reputable and well-known. Here is the evidence, which is also linked in the OP.
Law enforcement should act, and if they don’t, we should put pressure on law enforcement using the democratic tools at our disposal. Dangerously speeding cars are not the rising sun; we don’t just have to accept them as a fact of life.
If a student shoots up a school and then tries to hide with the other kids, and the kids point him out to the police, are they doxxing the shooter? Is this crowd doxxing a shooter? Why do speeders have an unfettered right to menace the public, but the public can’t hold them accountable? We wouldn’t tolerate that with any other crime committed in public. And driving is a privilege, not a right
