I would not be shocked to find out he has a tribal tattoo on his bicep.

I can’t comment since I didn’t find her, only got her from the shelter, but I sure hope so. She’s an amazingly sweet dog too so that just breaks my heart even more for her. At least she’s in good hands now.
I live in a college town. Several of our dogs came from the shelter, one of them was found in an empty apartment. Her owner moved and just left her, probably assumed someone would take her to the shelter.
It’s apparently pretty common around here. Luckily someone found her, but some of these apartments don’t immediately have a new tenant and the dog dies.
I just can’t imagine doing this. Our dogs are part of the family.
Thanks for the link. I’m saving that to pass on.
I’m forced to use either Chrome or Edge for my work computer and it drives me crazy.
Iirc Firefox and I think Safari are the only major non-chromium browsers. It makes me so sad because I remember Google’s “don’t be evil” days… man they left that behind
Right now, bad screen. But in like 45 min I’ll put that away, walk from my home office to my living room and sit at the good screen
The older I get, the more I like and enjoy spiciness in food. Used to hate hot sauces or anything vaguely hot, now I love it.
I have two Instagram accounts and I created a Threads account on one. Searched for the other and there’s nothing I can find for it. Definitely can’t follow the second account on Threads.
I’m not trying to be a Meta apologist here. I trust them about as far as I can throw a car (especially given the insane amount of data collection mentioned in the App/Play Stores) but in my limited test I don’t see a way to follow an account until you activate it on Threads
Don’t forget that districts are being redrawn and gerrymandered by these same people after they win, so they can continue to win
One of my work systems is like this. What’s even better is that not only does it log you out randomly, it also doesn’t reload the screen so you don’t know you’re logged out until you try to use it.
It’s the paid version. They give you 7 free days of the paid version so you can get a feel for all of the features. I like it so far. 1Password is probably a little “better” because it’s more polished and there’s a few things it has that Proton doesn’t, like a desktop app. But as far as day to day goes they’re pretty similar, and Proton’s running a launch special where you can get two years of the paid version for $24. That’s kind of hard to be since 1Password is $35 a year
I’d say they’re pretty much necessary so you can have unique, complex passwords.
I’m currently test driving Proton’s new password manager, I’ve been using 1Password for ages.
I’m sure the thought of the people who are okay with it is “the major effects will be after I’m dead and in the here and now I’m rich”
I had pretty much this same thought just the other day. It’s so disheartening how oil companies and other industries managed to delay any significant changes that might have prevented this.
I figure they aren’t. I didn’t curse or name anyone by name, I just made it pretty clear that the understaffing is job performance at a pretty severe level and that the workload has everyone miserable
I went HAM on my most recent one. They’re anonymous but I’m sure my direct manager can tell my writing style. But the place I work for has been in refusing to do any hiring including backfills so now I’m a team of 1 doing what 7 people used to do and I let them know I’m not pleased.
Severance was excellent. I haven’t watched Foundation but I’ve heard mixed reviews.
Like another commenter I keep forgetting to watch it because I don’t check Apple TV often. I loved the books when I read them years ago and was glad to see it got renewed. I think I found some weekend plans
I knew Shakespeare was ahead of his time, but damn.
