@lealternative @lealternative@feddit.it bellissimo articolo! dopo aver aggiornato a android 14 ho scoperto che waze e maps in android auto si bloccano (freeze) quando devono calcolare un tragitto, e in rete non ho trovato nessuna spiegazione su come rimediare.
Grazie a @lealternative ho scoperto Organic Maps che funziona molto bene, lo ho provato su tragitti brevi e lunghi nelle ultime settimane e con la app Streetcomplete posso contribuire nel mio piccolo a OpenStreetMaps.Brouter isn’t an alternative to Google Maps.
In its niche (bicycle routing) it blows Google Maps out of the fucking water.Same for Organic Maps. If you live in an area with good map data, it’s just better.
The only thing it lacks is traffic prediction, which is simply impossible to supply without spying on people.+1 for Organic maps. I make most of my edits on openstreetmaps.org with Organic Maps in mind so that they look and display properly there but I mostly contribute around the Philippines.
Osmand+ is my favorite
