Christians - the Romans had it right. Well, most religions that preach that there is only one truth and that all must follow it. Religion is either the instigator or the tool for many things that are wrong in this world - the whole damn Middle East, the Taliban, the US GOP, Russia, sex scandal daily from the Catholic Church and Evangelicals, climate change denial, etc.
Letting people spew their nonsense because it’s their “firm belief” is societal suicide and we are watching it happen.

Romans were a literal slave society. It’s no surprise when people in the imperial core worship them. That’s their purpose in western mythology.
