How do you connect two phones via Bluetooth to transfer files? - eviltoast

The phone models shouldn’t matter should they? One is on Android 11 and the other is on 13. I can only get them to connect for about a second, then the connection drops out. And yes, they’re right next to each other.

And where the hell am I supposed to enter the ‘pairing code’ thing? No entry box pops up on either device…

I usually select the file first, then select the “Send via Bluetooth” option and then select the device to send it to. I don’t think they have to be paired beforehand?

No need to pair. Simply use the share menu in the file manager.

Also, if both of them have Google services, you can use Nearby Share/Quick Share (airdrop equivalent). It will be faster than Bluetooth because it uses WiFi frequency

I do thank you kindly. Though with every shred of my dignity, I won’t be using any Google services as long as I can avoid them, neither phone has ever been signed into Google.
