Tiggy - eviltoast

We had to put him to sleep today due to cancer. He had quit eating and drinking so we had a vet come to the house to provide the service. He’s resting in the back by the woods now. I’m really going to miss him.

We lost one early to kidney disease. One week he just started acting off, not eating normal, even found him hiding in places (which is never a good sign). Started losing weight visibly, so we got him in to the vet and the blood work comes back. We took him home for one last night together with the other cats before taking him back to let him go. Still rough to think about. We’ve lost a few others mainly to old age, which is still hard, but to cut a great companion’s life in half out of the blue…

Our first pair, one went from kidney disease (many years of diabetes before this) ten years ago, the other left us 3 weeks ago (18 years) but was possibly a disguised vampire who feasted on her sister as her first victim (evidenced by: her long life and a string of very unfortunate puppys, her blending into the night, and her somehow being allergic to cats)

Here’s to Tiggy and Fluffy hanging out in the good place. (My wife swore she would never have a cat named fluffy, but it fit her too well, within a year she was fluffy and she remained fluffy her whole life)

I’m really sorry for your loss. I hope you take all the time you need to recover, and remember that good cat.

Really sorry for your loss. If s so sad. We have a kitty who’s getting up there in years. We had to put down her bestie earlier in the year (check my post history), and she’s the next oldest. We’ve been mentally preparing ourselves ever since to say goodbye to our awesome oldest cat. Again, sorry for your loss.
