Trump, Netanyahu speak about Gaza hostage-ceasefire deal, Axios reports - eviltoast

One source told Axios Trump’s call was intended to encourage Netanyahu to take the deal, but stressed he did not know if this is indeed what the former president told Netanyahu. The Trump campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

    This smells familiar:

The 1980 October Surprise theory refers to an allegation that representatives of Ronald Reagan’s presidential campaign made a secret deal with Iranian leaders to delay the release of American hostages until after the election between Reagan and President Jimmy Carter, the incumbent.

Everyone is trying to convince Netanyahu very hard.

Maybe Trump can convince Netanyahu by promising to give him $39B instead of $38B in weapons

Said no one, ever. No one is zeroing in on any one given trump position. We are talking about obvious patterns in his rhetoric and in his behavior. Probably because even if anyone somehow was unaware of these patterns, we still might realize that trump lies about basically every single thing he mentions. Oh yeah, he supposedly supported a ceasefire guys, so this not only means it’s genuine during his campaign, it erased every fucking thing else he said/did!

This is a weak, weak bullshit-ass argument from a serial liar. Pathetic. You really need to be banned from the platform.

The source for this could be totally making up the basic intention of the phone call after the fact, we don’t actually know what Trump said in that phone call, he hasn’t actually made a public statement demanding a cease fire or anything else, and we just can’t trust anything Trump or his affiliates say because of their very long history of lying about everything.

Moreover, given his policy history and the people he’s chosen to associate himself with (e.g. the Republican party, social conservatives, etc.) there is absolutely no way anyone can reasonably believe a second Trump administration will do anything but encourage and try to expand Palestinian genocide.

Have you ever, ever made an argument in good faith? It is fucking hilarious that you can, with a straight face, expect anyone to believe that this somehow makes Biden and Trump aligned on Israel.

But you’re not looking to convince rational people are you? You’re just looking to reinforce the half baked ideas of voters who already are leaning against voting for a Democrat.
