Fedi is cool in concept but there are too many douchers in admin/mod positions around here. You can interact with more people on Reddit where the admins/mods suck, or you can interact with fewer people on Fedi where the admins/mods also suck. Can’t win these days lmao.
As a small plus, the crazy ones you wouldn’t want to hang around with will self-select and block you, like in this case, instead of banning from the whole site as would happen in Reddit.
There’s also a really big issue with federation potentially opening users up to a host of deanonymization attacks by bad instances.
