I believe that these are manufactured eggs in order to minimize waste. Instead of wasting the ends, and the smaller slices with no or little yolk, the yolk and whites from eggs are separated and reunited to make uniform slices of boiled egg.

Nobody would serve this. Its for use in kitchens, canteens and restaurants

NGL my family would love this. Nobody likes the ends, and I always hate it going to waste.

I’m going to be real with you, famines don’t occur because my wife doesn’t eat the bottom end of the egg.

Hehe, obviously not, no. I usually look at these things in the perspective of “what if everyone did this”. Sometimes it makes a lot of sense (e.g., recycling), but not always.

I recycle my stuff. But if recycling is not done on the supply side, it’s pointless. I can throw my stuff in the right bin, as long as Coca-Cola does not use the material thus collected it can go anywhere, won’t work.

Don’t get me wrong, collective action works, it works very well, but usually not the ones that are lobbied for by big corps creating and profiting off the problem. And there is a ton of money going into telling you and me that “only if we did a bit more”, and “they only do it because there is a demand”.

Corporations act like they are all beholden to the market and making more money on the one side and say that only regulations can stop them boiling us alive, then lobby for deregulation on the other side because only they are moral and good enough to know what to do and “government interference” is just inefficient.

              Sorry, rant over.

I agree that corporations should be held to a higher standard and that too much responsibility is put on the consumers, but that does not mean that it’s pointless. There’s a lot of people on this planet. Be the change you’d like to see in the world, even if it feels pointless now and again.
