The Sun Sentinel does suggest James would have to ask Florida courts to grant the lien or the foreclosure. All the other major news sources barely contend with the idea that a state could simply deny a lawful court order of another.

The Blue States do it over abortion requests from the Red States. It’s not that uncommon. The difference is that NY wants to move quickly, and being tied up in court for months wouldn’t suit their goal.
