Why "progressive" liberals are just as bad as conservatives - eviltoast

This summaries the problem with radlib perfectly. We should show it to as many liberals as possible, not that it would actually sway most of them but still, nothing bad can come from confronting them with their own hypocrisy.

I am so triggered by someone politely asking him not to do a thing which causes issues for people with visuals impairement for him to respond with “You’ll be fine”. Fucking casual sassy ableism. :))))))))))))))))

Completely agree. I love the work that he has done with his channel and the podcast and have loads of respect for those reasons. But I still get some strong “huge ego” vibes from him sometimes in like the livestreams. Maybe that’s unfair, because most of what he says is humble enough, but then something slips out like the shit in the above screenshot, such a douchy ableist thing to say which he should know if he thought about it for more than 2 seconds. And the vegan thing, even if you’re not vegan, you should be able to see why the things he was saying about it was so completely tone-deaf and like the exact shit that liberals say to “tankies” when condescending to us. It’s a good reminder not to have “heroes” I guess.

It doesn’t seem like you mentioned that it is bad for people with visual disability? He could have genuinely thought you were complaining about aesthetics? I guess it’s something that one into graphic design should know but when you don’t know you don’t know
