A man accused of decapitating his father – and posting a video online with his severed head during a politically charged rant – was arrested hours later with a gun at National Guard base, according to officials and court documents.
The guy called MAGA a cult, threatened to sue Donald Trump and called him a bitch. Probably safer bet that what he did came from real mental illness than the weird, binary idea of politics shaping every component of a person’s life.

In the YouTube video, the man identifies himself as Mohn and apparently reads from a written statement and at one point holds up what appears to be a bloodied head inside a clear plastic bag. He says his father, who was a federal employee for over 20 years, was a traitor to his country.
“America is rotting from the inside out as far left, woke mobs rampage our once prosperous cities,” he says in the video.

Also, you do know you don’t have to get your information from second hand sources, right? Here’s the video in question (NSFL link, obviously). The guy’s beliefs were entirely from his own delusions and, funny enough, seem to be sparked over his student loans not being forgiven.
I tried to scroll past that and leave it blue, managed to accidentally click it, and then while trying to get out of it managed to click it to 1:41 and I’ll be damned if I didn’t manage to see exactly what I was trying to avoid.
It was better and worse than I thought it would be.
This is the ‘guns don’t kill people’ argument all over again. Yeah, dude was a danger regardless, but it was Republican propaganda that enabled and brought that danger to the surface. Pretending anything else happened would be a slap in the face to that poor man Mike, who lost his head to fascism.
His friends said he went bug fuck 10 years ago in college. While our political discourse was nuts back then, 2014 was nothing like today, not even close.
The man is likely schizophrenic and would have latched into something, even if the GOP didn’t exist.
Having said that, it is not a pass for the right-wing machine. Prepare for more and more violence after the next election.
