This technology needs to be heavily taxed, and a UBI and revitalized safetynet implemented from its revenue. Fight for that, not continuing to have your own back broken to make the rich sociopaths richer.

This still leaves the rich sociopaths in charge of the robots. They should be owned collectively so that everyone benefits and we don’t need to rely on the government to regulate things, because it will eventually be conquered by the rich sociopaths and we’ll be back to where we started.

      I agree with you ideologically.

That said, considering we’ve been wholly unable to reign in the capitalists thus far, that feels like an impossible task on top of an impossible task. It converts more people when something is offered as a win/win. They have all the resources and means of major media propaganda. Demanding everything with almost no power won’t lead anywhere.

It’s a matter of what we can do pragmatically. If the people unite around heavily taxing this tech, there’s a slim hope.
