Meta just announced that they are trying to integrate Threads with ActivityPub (Mastodon, Lemmy, etc.). We need to defederate them if we want to avoid them pushing their crap into fediverse.
If you’re a server admin, please defederate Meta’s domain “threads.net”
If you don’t run your own server, please ask your server admin to defederate “threads.net”.
I am on Threads my guy, this is the internet you can be in multiple places at once.

Then get off of Threads, go outside and go touch some grass.
I’m not a fan of grass, horrible invasive monoculture that harms the native insect populations. I’ll blow some dandelions for you though if that helps you feel safer about my social media preferences.

So like, you realize if you don’t want to use threads you don’t have to, right? Just because other people like it doesn’t mean you have to turn into a cranky curmudgeon.
