Trump saying he'll be a dictator only on day 1 is the strategy of normalizing it. - eviltoast

Just make it so normal that people accept it.

And for others they can say “he’s joking, like he was always joking”

    Pretty much.

Anyone with half a brain cell knows that he is a pathological liar. And even worse than being a pathological liar, he’s a pathological “truth bender”. At no point is he lying, and at no point is he ever telling the truth. This gives him a method to worm his way out of any verbal snafu he found himself in. He learned it by emulating his sociopathic father, and he taught his children the same trick.

The true mind can weather all the lies and illusions without being lost. The true heart can tough the poison of hatred without being harmed. Since beginningless time, darkness thrives in the void, but always yields to purifying light.

In the era before the Avatar, we bent not the elements, but the truth within ourselves. To bend another’s truth, your own spirit must be unbendable, or you will be corrupted and destroyed.

He doesn’t need to normalize it. Anyone demented enough to still support him wants him to be a dictator. The only difference is whether they can admit that to themselves or not.

Seriously. He’ll absolutely use this as an excuse to boot. He’ll continue doing dictator things because his shitheel people will react so positively…

In that case, let’s hope he’s an absolutely incompetent idiot who will fail fast and spectacularly or an old guy who will die fast, so that when he’s gone people all agree that this wasn’t a great political experiment and all join in together to rebuild the political system much better than before.

Well, political forecasting is like reading tea leaves even for professionals and even when it’s just for the next year.

So it’s safe to say, nobody knows what’s going to happen.

But generally speaking, political tensions like the one currently in the US need some form of release. They build and build until something lets all of this vent.

Historically, these vents have been (civil) wars on their soil, revolts or catastrophies that require the country to be literally rebuilt.

The US hasn’t really had any of these for a very long term. Wars in foreign countries can reduce the temperature a bit, but only until the public’s attention span hasn’t passed.

The US system is also built for polarization, so let’s see what happens.

If they are lucky, some kind of worker’s uprising could be enough. If they are unlucky, they are going to have a dictatorship next year.

But nobody knows what’s going to happen.

When has the death of a dictator by old age ever defaulted back to democracy? There’s a lot of people helping him, I’m sure more than a handful are eager to step into his shoes.

    Well no, you misunderstood.

He’s only a dictator on day one.

On day two and thereafter, he’s the Supreme Leader.

It’s only a coup for one day while we establish the dictatorship. After that it will just be the new normal

Trump shouldn’t say things like this. Useful idiots on the spectrum can’t discern when he is joking. Everyone else should watch the video and see if they honestly think he was being serious. If you do, then you probably also agree with Joe Scarborough on MSNBC that Trump will execute his opponents if elected. TDS is real.

I have watched the video and if you think he wasn’t being honest, you probably are one of those people you mentioned that fall on the spectrum.

He might’ve used the tone of a joke, but he’s been saying for a while now how he plans to “get back at those who wronged him”. Hell, he even said that the GOP is impeaching Biden only because “they did it to him first”.

I am shocked people like you think he’s not being serious: he’s literally telling you.

Biden doesn’t need to say it, because he’s already a puppet dictator. #CTIL-Files
