It’s a rainy Valentine’s Day. But that’s ok.
This post is for casual conversation if you don’t feel like making a post of your own.
I’m doing more stuff to plan my gf and my trip to NYC in June. Also trying to help her get a job outside of her small pet sitting jobs.
I’m binge watching the 2nd season of fallout with my sweetheart for valentine’s day which is honestly an ideal way to spend it.
Happy Valentine’s! Here in Finland it’s friend’s day.
We got the news yesterday that my SO will get the transfer to Berlin, so we’ll be moving some time soon. Big changes, big excitement, big stress. Thankfully the company has relocation services so we don’t need to figure out everything ourselves.
Oh wow congratulations! That is a long move! We did a similar move once from Kansas City, MO to Destin, Florida in the US. We took only what we could pack in our two cars. And did the same thing when we moved back two and half years later!
Thanks! Still need to sign the papers and so on. Apparently it’s really difficult to find an apartment in Berlin, the company has a flat we can stay in for a few months, but after that we need to have our own place. So we’ll have to decide if we try to buy or rent, and what to do with our flat in Finland. Also we don’t have a car, so it’s going to be interesting to figure out how to get our stuff there… Probably not on a bicycle though! 😅
I understand that in Germany when you move you take the entire kitchen with you, like cabinets and everything. Will you have to buy a “kitchen”?
I was looking at flats today and that seems to be the case, even in rental flats!?! makes no sense to me! Who voluntarily wants to remove and re-install kitchen cabinets and appliances!
And if you leave the country do you sale it on the local online marketplace?
I woke up feeling better. I’m still sick coughing and blowing my nose, but like mentally and physically I no longer feel awful. I slept in later than normal for a Saturday, so I think my body did a good job last night attacking the virus.
