Ranking 24 on happiness seems high.
For the “#1 country in the world” with (2nd?) largest economy, it ranks below Costa Rica (6), Mexico (10), Slovenia (19), and UAE (21). It’s in the 20s with friggin Kosovo (29) and Belize (25). Belize btw is the #1 in perceived freedom.
For the news coming out of the US, yes it seems quite high. For the economic power the US wields, not even getting into the top 20 is quite bad.
