Warning to all Brave Browser Users
Blocking variations.brave.com which is used for A/B testing could potentially break Brave’s functionalities. For me did Brave’s “forgetful browsing” feature broke which seems to be disabled by default if you block this domain.
It falls in the proprietary category
Didn’t they announce that they are source available?
Its still not Foss. Unless its under a free software license its a hard no for me.
At least its not chrome though
Vivaldi hides its 5% or whatever code under the most BS reasons one could possibly give – more performance and security than other Chrome browsers. This makes Vivaldi not so trustworthy. I will always pick Ungoogled Chromium for a Chrome based browser, if I had to forego Firefox (if it dies, for example) for the years I am alive.
