    lemme guess. he slobbers all over his straws and the one time he was served a paper-based straw it got a little ‘mushy’.

      Paper straws do get mushy all the time, even if you don’t slobber all over them.

      On the other hand, they have a much less severe microplastics problem and I think my brain and balls are running out of room for microplastics.
