I do need or want to end a video game stage with AE flashing a banner that reads, “Consume less corn syrup!” At all times. Despite the fact we all know that consuming it leads to obesity. You’re missing the point here. Sporting events being allowed to be held is politics. Women being allowed inside is politics. Black athletes playing it is politics. Surrounding the stadium with a parking lot as big as a small city is politics and removing the sign is a political statement just as much as putting it in the first place was.

Yes, it is. You’re upset about being shown an anti-racist message, and the alternative to that, whether you acknowledge it or not, is that you will be shown an advertisement in the same space. So it’s 100% accurate to say that you dislike seeing an anti-racist message so much that you’d rather be shown an ad.
