You’re being downvoted but this is very true. And Twitter has sometimes made it difficult to see those Tweets when you don’t have an account.
A number of sports journalists have joined Threads though. I don’t care for Meta, but I’m still rooting for Threads as an alternative to Twitter so there would be a less scummy way to get sports updates.
I honestly think using twitter is a mark against someone at this point.
Absolutely. For a while I had sympathy for people who used it as their main business platform, but they’ve had time to adapt by now.

No reason Threads won’t become as scummy, if not more so. Why not root for Mastodon instead?

Because I don’t think people like Woj are ever coming to Mastodon. I use Mastodon, but it is largely tech people.
