        That’s all their brand-new account has been doing. Honestly can’t make heads or tails of it, except that it’s spammy as hell.

          Those are AI generated comments with a generic prompt not tailored to the style that users on Lemmy use.

          These bots just use the title and get a prompt like „Write a social media response to this post“ and since ChatGPT has no clue what platform it is, the posts are this generic nonsense tailored to Instagram, Facebook and TikTok.

          The goal is probably to build up some kind of „reputation“ before spamming or phishing data from users.
