I really don’t believe they are actively developing another headset. I think thelat at one point they may have filed a patent for a design, but I really wouldn’t bank on this. Still more likely than Half Life 3 though.
They filed many patents actually and there’s many references to it in the Steam updates, which also receive updated strings that indicate to those patented features which are not present on the Index. I’m fairly confident that they’re working on a successor but they will also not rush this and monitor the market accordingly as well.
