Jebus. If you people think your filesystems are too abstract, ya gotta try ZFS! The whole fs is essentially a database and pieces. Its completely virtual. Files exist or not because of metadata. Lotsa shit is invisible like snapshots. Overprovision your drive, virtual raid, hybrid w ssd. It does some shit.
