  • Completely agree! The entire adult content platform has become nothing more than a monetization machine for platforms like OnlyFans. GoneWild was once about people expressing themselves and sharing their art without the pressure of making a quick buck. Now it’s all about selling subscriptions and getting clicks. The whole industry has been ruined by commercial interests prioritizing profit over passion and community. Same thing with Patreon, where creators are expected to churn out content just to keep their fans engaged rather than doing what they actually love. And don’t even get me started on the algorithm-driven news feeds that suck the soul out of social media. Commercialization has absolutely destroyed the integrity and creativity of online platforms. We’re losing the very things that made them worth using in the first place.

  • Well, if it wasn’t Luigi, then who was it? Why would someone go through the trouble of finding someone that looks just like him? Who would that be… why was Luigi picked for a scapegoat? If the contention of OP is “Luigi isn’t the guy”… then who is? From my standpoint, Luigi had the means, the motive and the motivation due to his personal history and abilities.

I realize that in court his defense won’t have to say “we have proof it was this other guy” but I’m not in court right now. If OP doesn’t think Luigi did it, then who else would have?

  • This will play out like a Black Mirror episode. I’m calling it. The day he finds that drive is the day before bitcoin crashes and is worth $4.35 per coin.

    Episode Title: “Dumpster Fire”

Premise: A man finds an old hard drive in a landfill containing nearly $800 million worth of Bitcoin. As he tries to uncover the identity of its rightful owner, he becomes entangled in a dark web of corporate espionage, government corruption, and the true cost of cryptocurrency speculation.

    Plot:

James Howells, desperate to retrieve his lost fortune, hires a team of digital forensics experts to locate the hard drive. They eventually track it down to the same Welsh landfill where James first discarded it all those years ago.

As they begin to dig, James’s obsession with regaining his fortune grows, and he becomes fixated on the idea that the hard drive is the key to his comeback. He convinces himself that the person who buried the drive must be a wealthy individual with a grudge against him.

However, as the digging progresses, James discovers that the hard drive contains not only Bitcoin but also a trove of incriminating documents about corporate malfeasance, tax evasion, and other nefarious activities. The person who buried the drive is revealed to be a high-ranking executive at a multinational tech firm, hiding evidence of their company’s involvement in illicit cryptocurrency mining operations.

As James delves deeper into the mystery, he realizes that his actions have attracted unwanted attention from powerful forces seeking to keep the truth buried. He becomes trapped in a cat-and-mouse game with corporate agents and government agents trying to silence him.

  • Good. At this point reddit is just a weak sauce place for bots/marketers to post where other bots/marketers scrape them. It’s rumored that 10% of their revenue is from content deals with Google. At this point, most of the interesting communities on reddit have gone elsewhere and it’s long ago jumped the shark.

It’s clear that the corporate goons in charge are busy just trying to squeeze any remaining nickles out of the userbase. At this rate it won’t be long before a private equity firm buys reddit and you start seeing articles “Reddit: what happened?”

Too bad, it was a site that used to be so good and was sold out 5 ways to Monday and the corporate overlords have fucked it again. At least lemmy is around… it doesn’t have the scale of reddit but it’s way better in a lot of ways already.

  • I’d rather have one party slinging mud than two. Apparently there’s a lot of people who want “revenge” and permission to be nasty “because that’s what the other guys do”. Go ahead, if that’s what tickles your pickle, but I’m not joining in. I don’t want to sink to the lowest common denominator.

I’d like to think the Democrats will win because the Republicans will get nothing of substance done during the next 3.9 years and the Democrats will come up with some decent plans for the nation. It seems like a lot of people just want to see the Democrats get better at slinging mud instead. I don’t agree with this.
