Es ist ein simpler anglizismus gleichbedeutenend mit dem englischen Wort. Pollen triggern Allergien. Videospiele sind voller trigger.
Wenn die Psychologen entscheiden das Wort in ihrer Fachliteratur spezifischer zu benutzen können sie das gerne machen, aber deswegen haben sie doch kein Hoheitsrecht auf das ganze Wort. Absurd was du da redest.
