Thanks for this post. I’ve been aware of demi- for awhile but didn’t know what it meant, so didn’t understand this shower thought. I looked it up and am now better for it! But now I wonder what options demimoore could mean.

I have no advice or pics to share, but I think your leaf is very nice! It looks like a leaf from all directions.

Not who you replied to, but thanks for explaining! I saw the /j but still didn’t get it. I wasn’t a good chemistry student…

Wow, I don’t think I ever saw one of those! The first phone I had in my room was a touch tone I made from a kit haha. It was just a handset, I don’t remember how the hook worked. Maybe it had an on/off switch?

I grew up in a house with what I thought were rotary phones that looked like this, with the dial on the wall mount, but I can’t find any pictures. I know they were rotary, but I’m guessing I don’t remember the handset correctly. One of them was this color! The other was a darker brown. We did a bunch of work to the house in the mid 90s, but kept one of them. It caused a lot of problems when my folks switched from dial-up internet to DSL. They had to get rid of it.

I wouldn’t be surprised if most red states have outdated water systems that are unable to be hacked remotely. Have to rely on good ol’ social engineering!! The operators probably have outdated brains that are susceptible.

Bill Clinton pulled out a saxophone to make liberal economics sexy and unfortunately it worked.

Maybe you should wash your dishes.
My work vehicle is a 2024 model and has a whip antenna! But it is a larger truck and aerodynamics probably were not a main factor.

I’m surprised Lisztomania isn’t on that list!

This group played at a school I attended in the 90s. It was before this song, can’t say I ever knew this song had anything to do with them. Can’t say I have even thought about them for the last 30 years… but now i will since this song is something I hear from time to time!
I don’t remember the movie well, but remember it being dark as well.

This is likely the front of a right hand steer vehicle. In the image, you can see that the photo was taken by Paul Abbit, Falmouth College of Arts. Not really much to work with to know the vehicle, or which game boy game they’re up to 😅

I’m pretty interested in this but have always struggled with understanding how it works. I will read the links and hope my work schedule aligns! It seems fun.

Isn’t this a trope? I could well be off haha, but if so I wonder if this is where it started.

This is my thought. I don’t know why I would ever end up with a mac, but if I did I would want Linux on it.

They are pretty friendly and also quite considerate
Apt description!

I really like jumping spiders. They are fun to be around and have in the house. I just wish they were more common here, but instead we have widow spiders that make me nervous when I work around them. I just try to pretend they are friendly, too…

Very interesting to me that asteroids that are not that much larger than a human can form/stay together! Let alone be landed on. How much gravity would we generate in space?
I really like Bill Hicks, but because he was so on point about stuff then (~35 years ago!) I have found it hard to watch his stuff for the last decade. So great, but too real. I hate that I struggle to find it funny now like I did then.
But great share! Totally relevant.
