Lemmy sucks.
Horseshoe theory is real
Nah. I mean, what if they deal drugs and make money that way?
I would rather see amnesty than ICE going home by home breaking down doors and dragging away peaceful illegals, especially if they were brought to the country as children.
But it’s all a bandaid on a chainsaw laceration if we’re not sealing up the border.
If we’re not going to do any amnesty, this does make sense.
Immigration is more complex than people make it out to be. I don’t think deportations make sense when our border is so porous, the people we deport could just return.
But the biggest problems with illegal immigrants are cartel affiliants and potential terrorism ties. I’d be okay with letting illegal immigrants stay so long as they are participating in a formal process to become citizens, and are not being violent or committing crimes.
I’m not in an echo chamber, but I’m a right winger who listens to a lot of right wing media and presumed that anti-illegal immigration is a predominantly right wing view. I had no idea that had shifted at all, I should listen to more left wing media though.
I’m actually surprised that it’s that high too
Lotide doesn’t let me edit posts, but I can delete the post and repost it
This actually looks like a rare case where the third entry in a series will be better than the second. This looks a lil goofy, but I’m looking forward to it.
The traditional standards of the rule of law, in this case. You must disagree, you sound like you think that the trial was fair. I wonder if you dislike Trump as well.
The law being upheld? lol
What the heck is an “open world dress-up game” lol
Autopilot and Full Self-Driving, do not make the vehicles autonomous and require drivers to keep their hands on the steering wheel and eyes on the road.
That’s completely false lol
The only reason I’m not surprised is because this was basically going to kill the game. Nobody was going to play it after this change, and I don’t think that’s something Sony wanted to risk.
I’m not entirely shocked by this
From what I’m hearing, it’s very likely that SCOTUS will uphold that actions that are part of official duties will have presidential immunity, but other activities will not.
For example, let’s say that terrorists were in a building in America, and Trump authorized a strike on that building, killing many civilians (just as an example). That would be an official action, qualifying him from immunity. But, if he does something like bash his wife’s head in, even as president, he does not have immunity from that.
It’s my understanding that this is the traditional view of the laws in question, I am not sure that Trump will be able to get that immunity expanded like he wants.
Well, I don’t know. Democrats are more vocal about it for sure, but that’s just because many of them hate either Jews or Israel. Democrats seem to love Ukraine, and would like to keep funding them, while Republicans seem to not care about them at all.
As a conservative myself, NYP and Fox News messaging doesn’t represent the true values or positions of the GOP base.
While most Republican politicians support continuing to fund Ukraine with no end, most Republicans are at most cautious of that idea, if not opposed to it altogether. There’s a big reason why the GOP presidential candidates were trying so hard to convince the audience that funding the war is a good idea.
