Squash bugs are a plague. Spray them with insecticidal soap or a mixture of dawn dish washing liquid. They will die virtually on contact. Planting varieties that those bugs hate is a good solution.
Smedley Butler described an election conducted in Nicaragua where an unannounced polling station was opened up for just two hours and select voters were bussed in to vote. We aren’t that far away from that.

2·7 days agoYes it is. Putin has been sending a lot of messages that the old, weak, confused, incompetent, orange felon/rapist doesn’t understand - the Alaska meeting, the bombing of Kiev, the meeting with Xi. The message is that TACO has lived out his usefulness and the US is no longer #1.
It’s not voting when you only allow your people to vote. The consequences are dire though. Those people seldom die a peaceful death.
When fair voting for a leader ends, killings begin.
