It’s like you’re in my head… while I’m washing more fucking dishes.

You were right though. Honesty juice working as intended.
That’s actually a Metroid Prime elevator.
Chicken crunchwraps are delicious.

2·2 months agoI was in the same boat until I discovered the glory of Famous Grouse. It’s not bad, not great, $32 for a handle and hits about the same as black label. I’d still prefer a nice single malt, but times are tough.
I had almost exactly the same exact comment written out before I saw yours. Its original title was “The Landlord’s Game”.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What's that video game boss you've never been able to beat, or took you the longest to beat?
6·4 months agoKilled him once legit and then cheesed him off the cliff on every subsequent playthrough. Fuck that boss.

8·5 months agoShit, of all the ways that capitalism has fucked up our society, I hadn’t considered this one. Thanks. I’m going to try to change my perspective on meal times.
While still technically a theory, the appendix acting as a reservoir for healthy gut bacteria has largely been proven. That function could very well have helped with digestion of raw meat as well, especially if eating raw meats caused issues with diarrhea.

A Boring Dystopia@lemmy.world•Big Brother just got an upgrade. Starting December, Amazon’s Ring cameras will scan and recognize faces. Don’t want to be in their database? Too bad — walk past a Ring and your face can be stored...
1·11 months agoThat sounds like an issue with Mullvad to me. I haven’t used it personally, but a quick search pulled up some issues with Mullvad leaking location over ipv6 and even disabling it by default.

3·11 months agoI’m a certified network engineer so I wasn’t too fussed with their support. I have a Dream Machine, a 24 port PoE switch, two APs (one U6 Lite, and one U7 Lite that I added later), and three cameras. We mostly just use the cameras to check on the cats when we’re out of town, but it’s nice to have the extra security just in case.
Is the setup a little excessive: absolutely. Is it awesome to know within seconds if there’s an issue with my network or if it’s just another ISP outage: also yes.
In the five years that I’ve had this setup, I’ve had exactly one issue with the network and it was just that one of the APs died after four years of continuous use.

17·11 months agoI’ve been telling anyone that will listen about my ubiquiti setup. Storing the video data locally is the only scenario that I’m comfortable with. I can still remotely log into my network and check camera footage, but no one else has access to it.
The funniest part about this is that I can’t think of a scenario where I would be asked this.
I did this about two years ago and every door in my house is still completely silent, absolute game changer for not waking up my kid in the middle of the night.

Alternatively: we just discovered infinitely renewable energy. 😘
