The amount of existential terror that book engendered was off the charts for me. I still have vaguely, yet inexplicably, terrifying dreams of rooms and hallways magically appearing in my closet

Is it weird that I’m jealous that you have yet to read rendezvous with rama and broken erth for the first time? I loved both so much!
I loved all the ancillary books. IMO not knowing anyone’s gender for sure was part of the fun. It does rely on the reader to work at making connections tho. I can see why some folks don’t like that aspect, but I personally like some challenge.
I have beets, cukes and dill growing in the garden right now, so this is perfect timing! My beets are golden tho so it won’t be that beautiful color sadly. Now to figure out where to get kefir!
Love the many vegan roll options at Blue Sushi (2 locations, one in westwood and power and light district). I adore the cowgirl roll…fried pickle, crispy onions, smoky soy wrapper. They also have vegan substitutes for spicy tuna and tobiko, which is fun. Tree Hugger north of the river on Vivion rd is great too. The Monte Cristo is so so good.
I thought it looked like the stoa in the forum in Athens since it looked like new beams and such, but wondered if I missed a different reconstruction in Crete. Thanks!

Schnauzers are the best dogs! Smart, a little ornery (but not too much), love their people and think they are bigger than they are.
Where was this taken? (I know, Crete, but curious where specifically?)
I meant to update you sooner, but I did make the soup and I easily found kefir at my Aldi! It was delicious. I’m making it again today which made me think to tell you about how much I love and crave this soup! Thanks!
