This, as the last commenter said, is completely ahistorical and incorrect. Every society in which Marxists have come to power was previously unequal, impoverished, unindustrialized, and most of the time a colony of another power. Every time this has happened the countries end up industrializing and eliminating severe poverty within a few decades, as well as providing housing, healthcare, food, transportation, work, and every other basic necessity for each one of their citizens. This can be seen with a simple look past the cold war rhetoric and into the actual history of the world.

Communism was also the primary force which defeated fascism everywhere that it popped up up until the 80s or 90s.

Christians in the US used to be this way. All the way through the first half of the 20th century the majority of protestants in the US were Socialist or Socialist adjacent as you describe. It was only through the state co-opting their movement and the radicals within it merging with the “America First” crowd around WWII that we got the current Christan nationalist movement…

This sentiment is why I use Linux, build my own PCs, and use aftermarket OS on phones…I hate it too, and wouldn’t be surprised if somehow they’re already doing this or will soon if not.

Same comrade…so many amazing people I’ve known are either dead or locked up for extended sentences because of that cycle. We were the rarities that actually made it out!

I have to disagree with you here, you can’t group police unions described in my last comment to, say, coal miner unions which got the miners and their families paid in US dollars, got them out of broken down and expensive company housing, raised their wages to living levels, and generally raised generations of entire regions out of poverty before the mines were automated or shut down.

ETA: Also, other types of unions don’t terrorize civilians when they don’t vet their way, other types of unions hurt the BOSSES and capitalists and are generally integrated into the community, not trying to lord over it.

Exactly, if the climate is friendly to it, there could be a lot more energy independent infrastructure besides stop signs, crosswalks, and mass surveillance and control mechanisms.

Exceeeeppppptttt when the union in question is full of members who’s job it is to put people in cages like animals, most of the time without need. Also when a side effect of the job of the members is murder of innocent civilians and protesters.
