There is a lot of great innovation coming from the EU. The development of Lemmy is for example funded by the EU public sector.
How does Lemmy affect GDP though, how many work places has Lemmy created? The article is about economics, after all. And what’s the actual innovation? It’s based on a W3C standard and is essentially a clone of reddit. There’s no innovation.
Derailing from what?
It’s funny that you asked. Kinda shows that you didn’t even read the title of the post, let alone the article. It’s just “yeah, German politics, let me write what bothers me!!”
Wasn’t reddit always like that? Or was this particular sub okay?
Given that modern players come with Android TV and other bloatware, the only option I see is piracy.
Haha, damn, that’s creative.
I admire people who can look at this and spot any difference without putting 2023 and 2024 cars side by side. Anyway, I like it, so it’s good that it’s more or less the same!
I’m stupid. Last week, my rss reader lost all my subscriptions. Or so I thought. I’ve just noticed that I was logged in under a different account…
What makes you think the result will satisfy your needs? It probably wont, and it definitely won’t satisfy the needs of many other people. We have two major DE based on different toolkits, following different philosophies, having different looks and feels. This is good. You can choose. Or you can pick another DE or WM. That’s why Linux is so attractive.
I think if you have no answer, it could be that NixOS doesn’t solve any problem for you. In effect, it’s not better. Don’t buy into social media hype. It’s just a tool like any other.
I’m not qualified enough to argue, but I wouldn’t trust Durov. He’s a competitor, after all. And he has a history of questionable decisions.
You forgot about a VMWare layer!
But will you train an LLM with it??
Mate, just learn how to admit when you’re wrong. That’s a useful skill in life.
Duolingo isn’t a good resource for learning a language, it’s focus is user retention
These two statements contradict each other. To learn a language you must practice it every day, week after week, month after month. It’s an appropriate application of addictive game mechanics, because our motivation doesn’t last long: 1-3 months for most people.
Duolingo might not be the best place to learn some languages (e.g. German), but it can be a very helpful tool for everyday practice. And stuff like streaks, leagues, and other things are rather helpful.

That rules out most of the people.
to the point of being denied service
Yes. Spotify blocks my account if I’m using VPN, ChatGPT asks to solve ridiculous captchas (on a paid account!). It’s crazy. Reddit blocks access if you’re on the VPN and not logged in.
What else bothers you? Why don’t we discuss under the post about AfD that the weather in Poland could be better in Junary, and then blame me for deflecting from the very real issue of bad weather in Poland in January, eh?
